Holy Crap, this is the best food ever!! Where to find them? Main Street in Greenfield, Ma. Ok, growing up in a meat and potatoes family...never thought I'd say this, but I could become a vegan just by eating at Tofu A Go Go in Greenfield every day. Holy Crap they make some of the best tasting food I've ever had!!! And they have the words Holy Crap all over the place. (they all are funny with a GREAT sense of humor) And they have a big gay brunch every Sunday. (no you don't have to be gay to come, but it's perfectly fine if you are) And they are open until 8pm wed-sat. Sunday til 2. They will HAPPILY feed you if you walk in 2 minutes before they close....they will be there cleaning for a long time anyway.(hours) It is the cleanest kitchen I've ever seen! People travel from Provincetown to get their food AND order extra to bring home! (the Cape has suffered a great loss that is our gain) IF YOU LIVE WITHIN 2 HOURS, YOU NEED TO COME AND EAT HERE, you won't be disappointed...EVER My favorite is the Indonesian Sautee, stir fried veggies (carrots,cabbage.zucchini,broccoli,cauliflower,peppers,onion) and the best tasting pan fried tofu I've ever had in my WHOLE life tossed with a mildly spicy peanut sauce that i lick off my fingers if I am lucky enough to get it on my hand. The portion is large enough to eat completely if it's your only meal of the day or spit in half if you are smart enough to eat regularly. I also tried some kind of fancy French dish the other night with Tempeh, roasted onions done in a wine reduction saucy sauce or maybe it wasn't reduced....but it was served over smashed potatoes and it tasted better than anything my Mom ever made. (Sorry Mom, I know you are a great cook!) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GO AND EAT THERE. WE NEED TO KEEP THEM IN THE VALLEY FOR OUR PLANETS SURVIVAL. NORTHAMPTON WISHES THEY HAD A TOFU A GO GO! LET'S MAKE EVERYONE JEALOUS...WHAT FUN!! PS they also make FREAKIN' DELICIOUS vegan desserts, including but not limited to donuts (mmm....donuts moist and cake-like w/pretty frosting), choc chip cookies, pnbuttery crispy sqares, raspberry lattice squares, mexican choc cookies and coconut cashew cookies.
