Tonight i saw my roommates band for the third time and was blown away as usual. Something I would like to refer to as Radiohead vs. At The Drive-in in an apocalyptic battle to the death. Uber technical drums meet melodic progressive rhythm with scream-your-heart-out vocals. Between sets it was obvious they were feeling fatigue. Both guitarists felt like shit but that held no resonance once the snare preceded a lightning bolt that crashes through the heart of everyone within ear shot. With unmatched energy Magna Mater, latin for "great mother", is tight as a twelve year old and ten times as fertile. Please book this band. - Eddie , posted 04/11/08 |
