We just finished watching " The Weeping Camel" and where transported to the windy wilds of the Gobi desert. This is a story of how the Koos ritual helped develop a bond between mother and child. The people where beautiful, simple, and without doubt a family that is thriving within the region. It was amazing to go into their yurt and see how colorful their surroundings. The story is told by itself as it unfolds in daily life as they get ready for the birthing of the camels. The focus is upon the difficult adjustment of motherhood, and how music and family working together make the transition successful. - Unsubscribed , posted 10/28/05 |
