Hullo all!
I've decided to jump on the band wagon and move to JP! Can't wait to be closer to the community there. I'd prefer to move into an established place, but I'd also be happy to find some good peeps and look for a place together. Even if you're not looking for roommates, I'll be grateful if you read this and pass it on to anyone you know who is. Thanx!

I am an artistic, eco-minded woman in my mid-twenties, looking for a roommate situation with like-minded people near my age, either all female or mixed. Queer, trans, straight or purple, doesn't matter as long as you rock. A co-op would be ideal. Vegetarian/vegan/organic would be great. I plan to live with people who are open-minded, independent, health-conscious, spiritual and/or artistic, inspired and genuinely enjoying life. I'm looking to create a home, not just a place to eat and sleep, so I'll live with people I connect with and I'm sure we'll become friends.

I'm looking for low rent so my money can go toward a cross-country road trip, backpacking Europe, and horseback riding lessons, all much higher priorities than living in a place with marble countertops. A co-op would be wonderful, but just plain great roommates will do well too. I plan to spend no more than $500/mo, not including utilities, and I prefer less. I work full time as an editor of English textbooks and am financially responsible. I'm moving to JP because of the fabulous friends and community I have there. Being close to woods is important; if I'm away from nature too long, my heart aches, so I want to be near the arboretum or the pond. I'd love to be within walking distance of the T as well, though I do have a car (so I also need decent parking). Oh, and I adore attic rooms.

I have two fabulous cats; I met dozens of cats before choosing these two. Fiona is a an elegant, magical creature and Sparrow is a cute, loyal friend. They're both gentle, loving, playful and cuddly. You'll fall in love with them. They like other cats, but I'd rather not ask them to live with a dog.

A bit more about me: I'm a writer working on a novel. I'm mature, fun, compassionate, and a great interior decorator. I love dancing, travel, art, Burning Man, reading, the woods, used clothing stories, hanging out with friends, etc. I don't watch TV and don't want to hear it much, but I like snuggling up for the occasional movie, especially if it's foreign and original. My current home has a pillow room: the floor is covered with mattresses and pillows and there are cloth, art, and lights hanging from the ceiling. Half the supplies are mine and I'd love to recreate it, but I can store them if there's no room. I'm organic and pretty much vegan, spiritually earth-based, and co-organizer of a women's group. Community is important to me and I would love to be involved in hosting community-oriented events such as energy shares, where people can come to give and receive reiki and massage. I'm also attuned for reiki and am happy to give free healings. I'm always coming up with profound insights about life and often telling ridiculous stories that stop making sense pretty quickly.

My move-in date is flexible, but I'd like it to be soon; I'm ready for something new! Let me know if you've got a good match. (And if not, happy hunting!) Can't wait to meet all you amazing people out there. Thanks so much!

Namaste,
Erica
